NCA Sports Comm

I realize we talk a lot here about AEJMC and effort to create a new sports division, but we should also remember that the National Communications Association (NCA) has already created its own division. The upcoming (November 12-15 in Chicago) NCA National Convention will feature several pieces of sports scholarship, including several from people who have contributed to or helped JSM in the past.

JSM fully supports the work of sports scholars within NCA. Even though our purposes and research don't often intersect, the field is large enough for everyone who has an interest in sports scholarship.

Our congratulations to those who will present sports research at NCA and we continue to seek ways to make our divergent agendas more inclusive.
